Company Match - Double Your Donation
Many corporations (such as Google, Apple, Microsoft, Adobe, and more) offer employee giving programs where they match donations made by employees to non-profits.
Please fill out this Company Match Google Form. As long as this form is submitted to us prior to the deadline, you will receive credit towards the pizza party. Note: For PDF forms, forward the completed form and your company’s receipt or confirmation to [email protected] and include your child’s name and teacher.
Book Fair
Coordinators: Sarah Keith and Narineh Smith
Twice a year (once in Fall, once in the Spring) Alta Vista hosts a Book Fair sponsored by Scholastic Books. It is a great way to encourage the love of reading for the entire family - the selection varies from picture books to cookbooks, and new titles are provided at each Fair. The Book Fair is also a great way to increase your child's classroom library by purchasing books from the Teacher's Wish List. Proceeds from the Book Fair benefit Alta Vista's Library. This fall, please attend our virtual book fair. More information will be available closer to the date.
Dining for Dollars
Coordinators: Ellen Pierpoint and April Benoit
AVHSC works with local restaurants to offer fundraising activities where families are invited to dine-in or out on a specific date and a percentage of proceeds are donated back to Alta Vista. AVHSC encourages these relationships to establish a win-win situation for Alta Vista to gain non-profit support, while restaurants earn potential repeated business. It is designed as a fun evening out for Alta Vista families to engage in a comfortable, social setting with friends and teachers/staff from school.
Many corporations (such as Google, Apple, Microsoft, Adobe, and more) offer employee giving programs where they match donations made by employees to non-profits.
- If your company has a matching giving or grant program, you can double your donation by just filling out a form (often a simple online form) at your workplace. If you have already submitted your donation, usually you can fill out the matching form even after you have submitted your check.
- If you volunteer at the school (remote volunteering counts!), some companies also offer a volunteer grant program. Contact your employer today to see if you can double your donation and make an even greater impact on your child's education!
